| Thanks Flight.
Good podcast.
Talk about having some faith restored. It all sounds so cool when the bits and pieces are better put together and explained some.
Some of the stand out points to me were:
1. The discussion/question on Nathan hale being gone for good. The quote was pretty close to
"The fact that Cappelli has a wife and child he has to protect, and also has to go through this living with his role in Hales demise already makes him a more interesting main character than Hale was."
I think I myself can agree with that. It never sat right with me killing a main guy like that, but when you zoom out of the tunnel vision long enough to see the bigger story.....pretty impressive I suppose.
"Even Insomniac hasn't said how they plan to do the health system...."
Interesting. Leads to questions like..." Will there be health regen then in campaign? Or more of the health picks up like early in the story of FoM?
Good link. Good podcast.

| I wonder things like If Capelli's out of the army, then why is he not a chimera by now? If he's so disliked in the military, then why would they let him leave instead of killing him under the guise of a mercy killing (a la what he did to Hale)? I gather he's with Malikov, but it's not like the guy would have a fully stocked lab on hand to make inhibitors with. Stuff just doesn't add up. |

Stuff just doesn't add up. You have a point. Should we ask the magic eight ball why? |

Stuff just doesn't add up. Well, idk. The way it was painted, and again this all going off of what little info has actually been released to people: After Hales death, Capelli boggies on out to lay low somewhere. Its in this time I think the rest of man colapses, in military, infrastructure, etc. As you know, he hooks up, has baby, blah blah blah. Aviods the monsters when they come about and tries to live as close to a normal life as one can have when there planet has been over taken by alien monsters. In intel found in R2, there were early indications that Malikov was going to end his own life, as he could no longer live with his role in Project Abraham, the Sentinel program etc. Once word came down Hale was dead, he stalls that plan, finds what ever it is in Hales dna that made him immune naturally, and makes the anti virus that can save the rest of humanity. With that done, he goes off on a quest to find one Joseph Capelli, the only man left who might be able to help end the threat on earth once and for all and remind him that his role in this can not be so easily set aside. They dont need inhibitors, because they have been vaccinated. So my guess is, Capelli is the first to be vaccinated, but for the story to make any sense whats so ever, somewhere between R2 and R3 every living person left to be found in game 3 has to have been vaccinated at some time. Other wise the virus alone would have converted or killed them. So it seems the virus is no longer a threat, but chimera are still an ever growing problem on Earth. Man hides. Literally, and avoids the bumps and scrapes they may have with their new monstrous over lords. The resistance is smaller, more rag tag and make shift, and made of only the survivors left on earth. If you have listened to the podcast, they do even say that the co op partner this time through isnt a generic character like in FoM. Its a guy, with a name, and a small history of his own. The truth is they are not really going to release too much story info on a game that has a highly anticipated follow up story. Im sure there will be a few twists and unexpected things, and I should hope there is. I wouldn't really want to go into any game knowing too much. But from what they have put out, the virus isnt the threat any longer. The big fuggin monsters are. And they own earth now. |

| It's a good thing nobody noticed that. I know I didn't. Fall 2011, huh? Looking forward to a few more details. Particularly about the multiplayer. If they go back to the weapon spawns or wheel in multiplayer, then I'm out of that part. That type of gameplay just doesn't appeal to me. The line "when Malikov shows up" makes me wonder even more how exactly Capelli has survived without inhibitor treatments. I was betting that they'd been working together since R2. Guess not. You know what I'd really like to see from R3? Fights against these huge bosses that aren't basically scripted events. I was taking on enemies nearly this big in Demon's Souls with nothing but a sword and shield. Surely they could pull off something similar here, but with guns, of course. |

| the fact that it supports campaign co-op pretty much means that it wont be as scripted as the 2nd game as because of the scripting it couldnt have co-op |

| Saw this on reddit yesterday and the first thing I could think of was, it's a Grim. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Well, wonder of wonders, looks like I was right! However, this thought didn't occur to the media when they caught it. Several news stations reported on it in a 'real or hoax' type of story. Yeah, it's safe to say IG has started up the advertising machine in full. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Hmm...ARG in the works? |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]EDIT: That doesn't show the whole story like my other link did. It stopped working for me too earlier, but it's up again now.
