ah. im trying to get my MAG platinum, i need 6 more trophies, but I'll probably jump on the U3 beta whenever it's released

idc to get this game's platinum, I started too late to get it, plus once the U3 beta/U3 come out they will be my only game, despite all of the problems that U2/U3 have/will have they are nothing compared to some of the stuff in CoD/MAG

I am almost to Plat, and I started in January, so it ain't nowhere to late! But yeah, after this plat, and I get 10th prestige in MW2 (which I bought lul) I'm going to U3. Unfortunately, i can't prepare, as I got rid of U2 to pay for the U3 preorder. lol

I'm going to give the beta a go before pre-order, don't want to be disappointed lol, done with MAG now, back to U2, and getting games pretty quickly now, actually got a plunder game going! lol

...you make my heart hurt, you know that? The Vipera is sooo good. I had a huge love-hate relationship with it, but I'll argue that it's hands down the best of the 3 SMGs. It takes some finesse and some practice, and you have to play to it's strengths, but after you get comfortable with your gun-game, most of your kills should be with headshots, or with a majority of the shots connecting to the dome anyway. The Japanese, in particular, were always fun to play against, from Valor, because they had much different outlooks and gameplans, and typically, far better communication. Is VLS still around, and kicking? I know that PPH went to Valor, so they might be giving some of you SVER and Raven players some good games.

I heard they removed Directives, and added a multi-queue. How's that working out for everyone?

Multi-queue is fun, gets you into games quicker and depending on how many game types you choose you get an xp bonus, I usually go with sabo, aqui, and dom so that is a 60% bonus, they also made dom a 256% bonus, throw in a happy hour and leveling is very easy

Valor was actually playing very well yesterday, all of it mind you, might have gotten only 1-2 wins out of the 10-20 matches I played against them

Ah. Endlo- returns. I knew it wouldn't be long before I saw you again B) I wrote that a while ago, now I've got the hang of the gun down and now am getting grims every Dom and Aqui. Only problem is the heavy armor scrubs in Valor with their LMG's :/. Makes me want to break my disc sometimes.

Right now I'm working on my sniper medal, to get the one trophy, and the escort vehicles destroyed. Even though I hate how we only get 10 shots in with our DMR, and the others get 20.

And on the SMG's, I'd have to say my favorites in order are F90, Vipera, and the KP5. F90 is a monster and I love it. Vipera has more spray room for those with poor aim. I like KP5's power, but the low capacity is what kills it. In a battle, the F90 could easily take down the KP5 depending who was using it.

And I thank god I finally moved off Raven. Such bad teamwork/communication. I don't want to see what Valor is looking like. To your claims, yes Valor has been doing good lately. even got steamrolled in Dom on Absheron in 10 mins. And I don't thing PPH moved to Valor, but to Raven, as I've seen most of them on Raven now.

The SVER DMR is still my favorite. The 10-round capacity is a bit of a bummer sometimes, but it's never a huge deal. If things really get that frantic up close, get to work with the handgun and your knife, until it smooths over. I guess it depends on how you're applying yourself, though, in some cases.

Vash and I were primarily using it to counter-snipe, and to think numbers coming out of the spawns, on defense. It's a bit tougher, on attacking games, to make work, you're often put into a role where you ping ping ping, and swipe at stuff, until you find that sweet spot, where you're headshotting pretty consistently with it, from mid-to-close range. It's a bit better for those situations, than the other DMRs, to me, because it does have a nicer rate of fire, to compensate for having the lowered capacity.


I actually can't stand the F90, because of the sights on it. Maybe I'm too used to SVER's reflex sights, but I hate the F90's sights with a passion. They just feel off. The one that comes attached standard isn't that bad, but it's a bit different than the SVER one, and I never really got used to it. I hate the Raven Reflex as well, it's too big and clunky. I feel like it just cuts off too much of your screen. As much as I love the Gotha, and want to love the F90, the sight just kills it for me.

The KP5 in't an SMG at all. It's an Assault Rifle in disguise. The stopping power is great, but I found a lot of the time, when I was using it, it felt more like a cheap excuse to have my weapon, and to carry a knife. The Vipera kinda hits that sweet spot in the middle, where it's got a fair stopping power, when you're hitting high, but has the clip-size and a fair amount of accuracy from a distance, so you can still harass people fairly effectively. SMGS are hard to use, and I eventually went back to preferring the Tamsen or the SASR-M, but I think there's a huge risk/reward for using them, and learning how to do so, effectively. The extra gizmos you can carry is such a huge boon to most loadouts.


From what I gather happened, is there was....a coup, of sorts, with PPH, with one of the officers essentially disbanding, and then re-inviting most people to the new clan, one night. Once the higher-ups of PPH figured it out, they rounded everyone they could up, and moved to Valor to take it out on the defected group. They might have ended up in Raven, I know Skulls had some long-standing friendships there, and was playing on a Raven alternate pretty frequently for a while. They were definitely on Valor for a while though, and I'm curious to know where they ended up.

The Raven reflex is a big adjustment, but it balances out and gives you manageable accuracy on the F90.

To the Q about VLS, I think some of them are still here, but not too sure. You got your gaming rig set up yet? If so, are you still rocking on Endlo-? Gotta get in some games with you after all this time.

No, I don't have my rig back up and running yet, and right on, it's on indefinite hiatus. I'm not very excited for Uncharted 3, and right now, that leaves me with the prospect of going on another extended tour on MAG. Not a bad thing, but it'll be the 4th time I'll have gone back to it, and I know that I'd be burnt out pretty quickly, just because it's the same-old same-old.

Great game, too many hours already logged for me to want to go back, unless something crazy happens.


I'm still kind of trying to piece together where the game stands, in terms of clans, and actual faction presence. It's hard to do, because Vash only went back for a short time, after the Valor PPH upheaval, so it wasn't very representative. I've heard that VLS was still around, as was KEQ, for Valor, but I'm not sure what that means for them. I've heard that VLS was finally able to pull the fringe members of GUN back into the fray, and that there was actually a new crew on Valor, that was pretty tiny, but was holding it's own.

I'm not sure where PPH ended up, but I know that it did leave SVER, and was on Valor for a while. I know Jager and Skulls were still around, and a few of the older higher-ups, but a lot had gone inactive and some were lost in the split when the roster was mass-kicked and reinvited to something else. From what I hear, that offshoot isn't doing too well, but I'm not surprised. I'd wager to guess 3C is still around, holding it down for SVER, but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them had moved on to newer games, and left MAG behind, either.

Raven just kind of got tossed to the curb, after the Flock disbanded. AIR was largely MIA, from what I've heard, and kind of left most other Raven clans on their own. Not sure if the remaining Flock members went somewhere else, or what, but I can't think of many competitive Raven clans, outside of those 2. I had a stint with ^D^, and that might be where a lot of PPH ended up, if they did move to Raven, but they were always a bit of a fringe group anyway.

I have left MAG atm, might go back since I'll be missing out on the U3 beta, but when I was playing I was constantly running into a Raven clan called IAA when I was on SVER, also ran into two Valor clans during my last day or two of playing, one was SS and the other was $$/$$$ (not sure on the number of $ signs)

Playing MW2 on underpass, and go into the building where all the snipers camp the beginning of the game. And I get 7 kills easy and get my harriers when I get the hatemail. He was just mad cause I owned him with the USP .45 lol

The Vipera is a great gun, I try to scavenge that beast everytime I kill a SVER soldier (after tea bagging the hell out of him of course)

The KP5 is alright, it's crazy accurate and has a good ROF, just the clip size isn't good in those little 1v1s you get in. I usually find myself running out of ammo, jumping around and moving in for the knife kill.

A lot of the players who still actually play from 3C have moved to other clans or made their own new ones. QNT3N, thanks for the edit update. Last time this came up, Flight and I got in a touch of trouble, but I'm actually pretty surprised to hear that PRO is still around. I know there was some drama behind the scenes, as I was checking out of the scene, but I guess they're still running with the KEQ philosophy. Whatever works, I guess. Give 32 dudes mics, 12c and an LMG, and have at it. I will admit that one of the most amusing moments I had with PPH on Sabo was with PRO, though.

We went straight to C, from the jump, defending Syr, and had everyone hide back behind C, in the bushes. All 32 of us were just chillin' out prone, and waiting for them to take it. Took a few minutes, but we rushed it after they planted, and held it off with most of us just using our knives/handguns for the match. Good times.


I dunno if I'd say smart, but when you play something as long as we did, you can't help but pick up some tricks, and kind of get your own perspective down, on things. I clocked way too much time into MAG.

Since you're a Valor player, and MAGLeaderboards still shows at least Heftigjager on Valor, if you seem him around, do me a favor and kill him and let him know I said he needs to get out of Sabo.

Endlo it's funny you say that because that happened to us on Darien attacking not too long ago, I kind of realized that it was too quiet and tried telling my platoon but you know how Valor is

I may go back to Valor though, it felt so good redlining SVER every now and again. But for now I'm gonna stay on SVER, it seems like it'd be easier to get the platinum trophy on SVER seeing how easy it is to sneak around Valor and Raven bunkers

SVER's bunkers are easy to sneak around. Just know where to go and wait till people aren't looking lol. I love playing with idiots who suck at this game and need to get the hell off and never play an FPS again.

A certain clan (from U2) absolutely sucks without their SA booster. I was playing with them last last night and all their dudes were horrible. 2-20, 1- 32, and worse 0-35. And this was in Aqui. I hate not playing with friends, even though on attacking we rape, which I do like, but I don't get to blow much CRAP up before we win.

Actually I jumped on yesterday just to see what was happening in 3C, I had obviously lost my officer rank seeing as though I haven't played in ages which is fair enough, but there are a LOT of new second accounts I have never seen or heard of before wearing 3C tags. Which is good that it lives on, but it's just not the same eliteness as 3C used to be when we rolled with only around 30 of best the best players in the clan. Now that people have deleted their accounts or made second accounts after putting in huge amounts of hours they are good enough to join, good on them. But in my eyes it's not the same kind of 3C as it used to be especially with some of the biggest players no longer playing or in other clans because they feel the same way as me, this new generation of 3C is good, but no longer in a league of their own to be honest.

Brink was mainly just because there isn't a new game to play, and the core of 3C is one of those clans that jumps on pretty much any game that's new then moves on when another comes out. We had been planning to go to Socom but not many people liked it that much, I haven't really joined a clan in that yet though although I play a lot with UPS, you may remember PDIGGY they had some amazing Valor players back in the day.

I know what you mean about jump, what can you do it's who he is. Still at least he is good enough to back up any shit talking unlike most other people.

Socom is going alright, although I love the clan battle system so much fun if MAG had it I would be all over it still but unfortunately Zipper never came through on that front. So I'm playing with a more casual clan at the moment we are currently ranked around 15-25th although I am easily one of the better players and have carried the team to quite a few wins but that just makes it all the more satisfying.

Surprised you don't like the sound of Uncharted 3, I'm definitely getting it along with Resistance 3, I loved Uncharted 2 although this time around I want to try and get a huge win loss ratio I think try and beat my 7 on U2.

Glad to see you're back on here though man. Look forward to you getting things back together and playing with you again, but all in good time.

That you are, Vrals. A few hundred hours worth. Jager was a founding member and officer of PPH, and he's been playing since the original beta. He's ranked like...fourth I think, for all-time wins now, but Domo and Aqui gave him a lot of issues, so he was a Sabo only player. There were many nights when our desire to get bigger kill games were quashed by his freezes.

No objection on the SVER front, QNT3N. I was a long-time SVER loyalist. I ran through and got my trophies for the other factions, and only ventured out of it once after that, which was a huge mistake. I played maybe 10 games in Raven, after getting bored of dominating Sabo so much, and deleted my character and went back to SVER. I have a lot of love for ^D^ and all the other clans who stick it out on Raven, but after playing with at least a squad, usually two of mic'd out people who can handle themselves, and communicate well, I just couldn't put up with the silence and confusion that seems so prevalent in Raven anymore. They really lost a lot, when the Flock disbanded, and AIR went missing.

As far as SVER's bunkerlines go, it's a huge controversy. Always has been, always will be. The only map with a bunkerline that I actually enjoy is Aralkum, but even then, it just takes some strategy and some co-ordinatioon. KingBabar, from Deadly Blue Dots, actually has a few videos of him and his crew taking down Aralkum, with a strategy I really like. The focus always needs to be on the AA, because once they get into your backfield on Aralkum, and if they can keep you off the AA repairs, it's so hard to fight back. There's just so much space for them to control, and so much solid highground for them to take advantage of.



Good points, Flight. I absolutely agree with you, on 3C. I mean, not to knock them as they were, and how they developed, because as much as other crews wanted to talk, and run their mouths, 3C always put up. I don't think I've ever been disappointed by anybody with that tag, although I can definitely understand how you feel. I mean, I remember when we first started playing together, and how...far behind you I was, and how much perspective I gained from you, and Vash, and how I tried to take all of that stuff, and develop my own playstyle. Eh, it's out of our hands, but I know what you mean about them being the elite of the elite, at the time. There was definitely no question.

I remember PDIGGY, absolutely. He was right up there, in players I was paying a lot of attention to, when I was still in that...formative part of my MAG playing, because his videos, and his style, were something I really dug. Mojo was as well, as arrogant as he was. I never got to see much of Jump in action, outside of any games we might have played in, but he was up there too, no doubt.

I'm not knocking Jump at all, no doubt he had the skills to back up all the controversy that followed him around. It was amusing to watch from the sidelines though, and I remember a lot of threads on the old MAG boards that were derailed because of him and his...reputation.


As far as gaming goes, I've got that itch again, but can't seem to find a title I'm into, in a big enough way to justify getting a whole new rig going yet. SOCOM is something I'm looking at, but I'm pretty sure I'm taking a pass on Brink and Uncharted 3. Everything I see about it just turns me off, more and more from it. Kickbacks, the "Power Plays", the way the new system has changed, it's just not what I want out of it, I think. I get that the game has to evolve, but I just don't like the direction it's going, and what the implications are, of those changes. Just give me MAG 2 already, and let's get this goin'.

Yeah, I had a good chat with a whole bunch of the old officers. Apparently a lot of them are keen to get back into MAG and show people how the game is meant to be played. I know that some had made a clan over in Valor the League of Legends [LoL] with their second accounts so they could clan battle some of the SVER clans. But I haven't heard anything about them moving and there's nothing on the clan website or on the clan thread on the MAG forums so I doubt it.

I know for a fact that MAG2 is in development, one of the guys who was in 3C is an in house tester for Zipper. Anyway I heard earlier today that Valor had two domination contracts?
